Voyagers’ Community School is OPEN

We are open for all infants, toddlers and preschoolers now. It is so heartwarming to see our youngest Skipper playing in the front yard and reconnecting with their teachers and first friends. As September approaches, we are growing more and more anxious to see all the children and kick off a new school year. We are accepting new students, of all ages, for full-day enrollment while individual Learning Studios in our classrooms last.

Voyagers’ Community School is committed to offering students the same dynamic education we are recognized for, with an eye toward opening our building in the safest manner, as advised by the CDC and American Academy of Pediatrics. The latest, from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), states, “children learn best when they are in school. However, returning to school needs careful steps in place to keep students and staff safe.” AAP reminds us that, “schools provide more than just academics to children and adolescents. In addition to reading, writing, and math, children learn social and emotional skills, and get exercise and access to mental health support and other services and experiences that cannot be provided with online learning.”

“The AAP strongly advocates that all policy considerations for the coming school year should start with a goal of having students physically present in school.”

We share this belief. We have opened our Extended Summer Preschool seamlessly and the Administration continues to ensure a safe and thoughtful opening in September. All students, grades K-12, will attend for 5.5 hours, 5 days per week. Infant, Toddler, and Preschool children will be in school 7 hours each day. The school is also offering a robust before and aftercare option, that will serve all children, with priority given to those parents who are front-line workers and first responders.

Voyagers’ Community School, accredited by The Middle States Association, is known for its delivery of an unrivaled, meaningful, and vibrant education that rises from children’s interests and is rooted in developing and strengthening their reading, writing, articulation, and calculation skills. Our students, Skippers, are unique in that they are engaged citizens able to examine an idea, organize their thinking and their work, discover and pursue their passions, and collaborate with their classmates and colleagues.
