Description, Responsibilities, and Duties
- Plan and implement effective instruction and assessment driven by student inquiry and aligned with Voyagers’ Philosophy.
- Collaborate with students, families, and colleagues in support of our community.
- Record and share student learning and experiences through documentation, narratives, and consistent Seesaw posts.
- Lead the development of classroom cultures that foster relationships, student learning, student inquiry, and critical thinking.
- Facilitate Parent/Teacher/Student Conferences.
- Attend all school events.
- Advocate with and on behalf of students and families.
- Implement restorative practices to address conflict.
- Monitor students inside and outside of classroom.
- Attend and engage in weekly staff meetings, professional development, and professional collaboration
- Seek, reflect, and learn from feedback.
- Support the operation of the school.
Qualification and Requirements
- Prior experience working with children preferred.
- 4 year college degree.
- Experience or knowledge of the Reggio Emilia and Constructivist Approach to teaching.
- Understand Project Based learning.
- Be comfortable working in an outdoor “classroom” environment.
