Making a Voyagers’ Education Possible With Flexible Tuition

What is Flexible Tuition?

Flexible Tuition means each family pays a tuition rate that reflects their unique financial circumstances, including income, expenses, assets, and liabilities.

This model ensures that every eligible students is considered for Flexible Tuition based on family resources.

We’re committed to maintaining a community that reflects diverse perspectives and life experiences. Flexible Tuition is one way we make that possible.

Who Can Apply?

Flexible Tuition is available to families with children enrolling in Kindergarten through Grade 12. We encourage all interested families to apply—especially those who believe in the value of progressive, project-based, and nature-connected learning.

Each year, families with a wide range of incomes qualify for support. Your eligibility will depend on your full financial picture, not just your income alone.

How Does It Work?

  1. Go to FACTS Grant & Aid

  2. Use District Code: VC-NJ

  3. Create your account or log in

  4. Complete the application and upload your most recent tax documents

  5. Submit your application along with your child’s enrollment materials

Note: Flexible Tuition applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Because funding is limited, applying early helps ensure your application receives full consideration.

How Much Will We Pay?

Each family’s contribution is personalized. While full tuition for one child might be $28,000, families receiving Flexible Tuition will pay a lower amount based on financial circumstances. Our goal is to identify a tuition level that is equitable, manageable, and sustainable—for both your family and the school.

If you’d like to talk about your circumstances before applying, we’re happy to have a conversation.

More than half of Voyagers’ families—currently around 65% and growing—participate in our Flexible Tuition program. Each family’s rate is calculated based on their unique circumstances, with many receiving tuition adjustments ranging from 10% to 60% of full tuition.

Lower School Families, who qualify, typically pay between $8,000 and $25,000 per year. Those who can invest more help ensure we can maintain small class sizes and the kind of innovative, student-centered programming that benefits every child.

“Flexible Tuition strengthens our entire school community.”

Families who qualify and enroll through Flexible Tuition fill seats that might otherwise remain empty. The tuition they contribute—tailored to what they can reasonably afford—adds meaningful revenue that helps:

  • Support exceptional teachers and innovative programs,
  • Hold down tuition increases for all families,
  • And make Voyagers’ accessible to a broader, more dynamic student body.

In short, every student contributes, and every family benefits. It’s a sustainable model that reflects our core values: access, responsibility, and community.

“Flexible Tuition is not about paying less—it’s about paying what’s right for your family. It’s our way of making a Voyagers’ education accessible while ensuring long-term strength and stability for the entire school.”
